International Day

Our 4th Annual International Day is scheduled for Wednesday November 4,2009. These are basically the same guidelines I trot every year. If you’ve got any questions, please feel free to e-mail me mbuono66@yahoo.com

  • International Day is open to all homeschooled children. You do not need to be a member of HSBG Club to join in the fun!
  • Int’l Day is scheduled for Wednesday November 4, 2009 at the James A. Michener Branch Library in Quakertown. We will be in the Schweiker Room . The library is located at 401 W. Mill Street.
  • Set-up will begin at 10:30am. We are open to the public 12noon – 2pm. If you are participating PLEASE plan to stay till 2pm. If you cannot stay let me know ASAP so that we’ll have a better idea of how to place your display.
  • Before choosing a country, read the list below. This is a list of countries that have already been claimed. Please do not choose one of these countries. E-mail me mbuono66@yahoo.com when you have made your choice and I’ll add it to the list.
  • I am asking for a $1 per family fee to participate in this event. Please send in your dollar ( no checks or loose change) before the end of the month that you claim your country. I will be updating the list at the end of each month. If your fee isn’t paid, your country comes off the claimed list and will be available to others.
  • As always displays can be simple or elaborate, the only limit is size. Displays are allowed ½ of a 6-foot table. If you think you will need more space please let me know ASAP. I will make a note of it and do my best to arrange it, but I cannot guarantee extra space will be available. This seems to be a very popular event.
  • If you will need an electrical outlet or to be against a wall, please let me know as soon as possible. There are a limited number of outlets available.
  • We are allowed to bring food to this event. Let’s face it, the food has become one of the big draws of this event – we all look forward to sampling "food from around the world". Please remember the library has a "no red liquids, no red sauce" policy if you plan to make something.
  • Remember November 4th only SEEMS like it’s far away. The calendar pages fly by quickly.
